  Clubs and Organizations  
Arts & Crafts – Students will engage in craft activities geared towards educating students on basic art techniques using multiple art mediums.

Baseball – Students will learn the rules of the game, sportsmanship, integrity, and the history (1900’s – present).

Basketball (Girls and Boys) – Students will learn the rules of the game, sportsmanship, integrity, and the history (1900’s – present).

Best Buddies – Students will learn how to work together with their peers to assist students who need extra help.

Brain Games/Puzzles/Board Games – Fun activities that sharpen your brain by improving memory, reasoning, and knowledge including Sudoku, Crosswords, Brain Teasers, Riddles, Mysteries, Logic Puzzles, Word Games, Optical Illusions, etc.

Community Service – A club set apart to help others or to encourage people in our community. Some activities include: making place mats for the nursing homes, writing encouraging letters to service men and women, learning about other groups in our community through guest speakers.

Computer/Video Games – Students will be able to bring hand-held gaming systems or access video/computer equipment provided by the school.

Cooking – Students will learn all the things involved in preparing and cooking.

Drama – Students will actively participate in theater games, monologues, and group performances.

Girl Power – This club will teach girls about self-confidence and how to present herself in a positive manner. She will learn how to introduce herself and how to meet other people in different situations and settings. Students will learn about appropriate styles of dress for different occasions.

HMS School Spirit/Relay for Life – Students will create fundraising activities for HMS needs and Relay for Life. Students will create banners, posters, and flyers for Spirit Week, and Pep Rallies. Students will also work with Relay for Life to make students aware and help with fundraising for the school.

Pep Band – 7th and 8th grade students who are enrolled in band and are interested in learning pep tunes in addition to performing at pep rallies, PTO meetings, the Jackson Christmas Parade and many other exciting events.

Soccer (Girls and Boys) – Students will learn the rules of the game, sportsmanship, integrity, and the history (1900’s–present).

Softball – Students will learn the rules of the game, sportsmanship, integrity, and the history (1900’s – present).

STEM Challenge – Students will participate in activities, projects, and challenges related to science, technology, engineering, and math.

Volleyball – Students will learn the rules of the game, sportsmanship, integrity, and the history (1900’s–present).

Yearbook – The main purpose of the Yearbook Club is to produce the school's annual yearbook. With this goal in mind, members who are selected for the Yearbook club will be taught basic lessons in photography, writing, editing and electronic layouts.
