Mrs. Caressa T. Gordon is a 1994 graduate of Jackson High School. After high school, she graduated from Georgia College and State University in 1998, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. Later on, she returned to GC&SU to pursue a Master’s degree and Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. In 2001, Mrs. Gordon joined the BCSS family as a sixth grade English Language Arts teacher at Henderson Middle School. Not only did she serve the students of HMS as an ELA teacher, but she also had the privilege to serve as an Instructional Coach. Mrs. Gordon joined the Daughtry Elementary School family in 2015 as an assistant principal. She loves teaching and learning.  In every encounter with students, she strives to make them feel valued, and encourages them to Be Great. Even though Mrs. Gordon is now serving as HMS Principal, she will always be a teacher of teachers and students.

She is grateful for the opportunity to return to Henderson as Principal. Mrs. Gordon considers it a privilege to serve students, parents, and the HMS faculty and staff. She  is passionate about building the whole child and creating an environment where kids can learn in a safe, caring environment.

Mrs. Gordon is married to Mark Gordon, Sr.  The Gordon’s are proud parents of Mark and Macyn.
